Tamar Gymnastics Club History
Tamar gymnastics club was formed in 1981 at Torpoint 200 club
in Cornwall. We spent twelve
months there then moved to the council chambers, at this time we were called the rainbow
gym club until too many other clubs started to use the name, we changed it to the
Tamar Gymnastics Club.
We also started to use the Mayflower Centre in Plymouth, as a second training place.
The club moved to its current
location at the YMCA Kitto centre in Honicknowle, Plymouth, Devon in the mid 90s. In 2001 Tamar
Gymnastics Club finished at the Torpoint Council Chambers and concentrated on
the Kitto centre..
Tamar Gymnastics club is registered with
British Gymnastics and affiliated with the
South West Amateur
